Welcome to iLOOKABOUT. If you are an investor, we thank you for your support. If you are considering an investment, we thank you for your interest.

iLOOKABOUT became a publicly traded company as of April 7, 2008, a responsibility all of us at iLOOKABOUT take very seriously. We’d like to talk to you, our investors, about the serious matters of the company, here on this page, in a personal and informal manner. Our intent is to write to you on an annual basis, on the anniversary date of our company going public.

This year, we thought the best place to start was at the beginning, to share a little company history, our values and give you a glimpse of how we see our future unfolding.

In the Beginning – A Question

iLOOKABOUT started with a question. It was a simple question, posed by a customer, which in turn, triggered a complex and exciting discovery process for us.

The question was, “Can you do it?” At the time, we never thought the answer was anything but “yes”. We have never thought otherwise since. That simple question and answer sums up the philosophy and culture of iLOOKABOUT. You see, we’re a company of explorers, constantly searching for new answers to “Can you do it?”. We refuse to settle. We reject convention and favour invention. We’re customer-centric; we focus on offering creative and innovative solutions to whatever challenges our customers may face.

This is easy to say. Many do. But doing it with integrity of purpose and outcome, with a desire for high utility solutions; that takes some doing, we think. But it’s work worth doing, in our estimation.

Our Work

Our work is in the geo-spatial world. We take pictures; high resolution pictures with a street-level, 180° field of view, every fifteen feet along every public road in a city. Yet it’s what we do with these pictures that makes us unique.

While other companies may be undertaking similar projects, it is the perspective, accuracy and comprehensiveness of our pictures that transforms this visual information into a system of visual intelligence that is of benefit to business and enterprise customers.

It’s a major step up from visual information to visual intelligence but it opens a new world of possibility for customers. The passing information age has inundated us all with a proliferation of data and access to information has never been easier. However, ideas and solutions, based on insightful, thorough intelligence have never been harder. iLOOKABOUT’s new world of visual intelligence is for the emerging idea age. Our visual intelligence solutions help customers, reliant on visual data, to make sense of their world and to find fresh perspective and insight. The result: well-informed, creative, yet practical solutions that help business do business - better.

The Answer

The latest answer to the question “Can you do it?” is iLOOKABOUT StreetScape, our newest visual intelligence solution. StreetScape and its accompanying software services like ImageStore and DropZone, has been, and continues to be, well-received by the real estate, municipal, utility and insurance sectors.

We are both pleased and proud of the progress we have made with StreetScape. We believe the strong endorsement it has received from some of our key customers bodes well for the future of iLOOKABOUT - even in the ever changing and competitive world of geo-spatial technology.

A Look Ahead

While we are confident in the superior quality of the visual intelligence solutions currently offered by iLOOKABOUT, we remain cognizant of the fact that there is always room for growth and improvement. The geo-spatial market is progressing at a dizzying pace and there are a growing number of products, technologies and companies being created to meet the high level of customer demand. This is not the time or the place for the faint of heart or the hesitant.

In the face of this rapid change we steadfastly rely on that simple question “Can you do it?” to guide us in all we do from technology development to customer service. From our perspective, this is precisely what makes our company an exciting place to be.

While we continue to work on improving our existing products, we are always looking for new and innovative ways to address the needs of both current and potential customers. We firmly believe that iLOOKABOUT will be the global leader in visual intelligence. We will achieve that goal with the help of the many talented people that work at iLOOKABOUT and with the continued support of our customers and you, our investors.

Our Promise

While some may believe it is not prudent in business to make promises about the future, we think a little differently. In our opinion, promises inspire and guide a company.
